Brooklyn South Dreams Big for our Boys of Color

On June 9th, the Brooklyn South held an event entitled "Dream Big for Young Men of Color." It was a day dedicated to developing a deep understanding of the ways we as educators can adapt and improve our approach to serving and support our young men of color. The guest speaker was Dr. Omékongo Dibinga (read more about him here).

Dr. Omékongo Dibinga delivered a powerful message and shared some tangible next steps for all those in attendance to take back to their buildings and share with their colleagues.

In addition to Dr. Omékongo Dibinga presentation,  one of the other high points of the day was the beautiful collage made up of participants "dreams for young men of color." The collage served as a amazing "bookend" to an already powerful day.
