Universal Design for Learning (UDL) --  Boosting Engagement
On March 8th, the Teaching and Learning Division provided the second training in a larger series entitled, "UDL Principle 1: Multiple Means of Representation -- Boosting Engagement." A great deal or appreciation goes out to District 22, Superintendent Bove, Erica DiGiovanna and, of course, Principal Ellen Quigley of PS/IS 206 for arranging and hosting the training.

Borough Instructional Lead, Rhonda Sorger, guided participants through (1) what it means to provide multiple means of representation, (2) making connections between Multiple Means of Representation and Danielson's Component 3A (Communicating with Students), (4) exploring and analyzing a variety of tools and pedagogical practices to ensure that key information is equally perceptible by all students and (5) applying what they have learned to an existing instructional plans.
